NIRA is a digital lending service provider operated by Shuhari Tech Ventures Private Limited. It helps eligible customers apply for personal loans from RBI-regulated lending partners; NIRA itself is not the lender. Before accepting an offer, verify the lender, APR, fees, net disbursal, repayment schedule and grievance details in the Key Fact Statement. Approval is never guaranteed.
What you can verify about NIRA
Trust should come from evidence that a borrower can check independently—not from an “RBI approved app” badge or a promise of guaranteed approval.

How to verify a NIRA loan offer
Do not rely only on an advertisement, a monthly interest-rate claim or a message from an agent. Check the applicant-specific documents before accepting.
Confirm that the regulated lender's legal name appears in the offer and Key Fact Statement.
Compare the APR—not only the nominal interest rate or monthly rate.
Check the sanctioned amount, every upfront deduction and the net amount that will reach your bank account.
Review the EMI dates, total amount repayable, late-payment charges and prepayment conditions.
Confirm the grievance contact for both NIRA and the lender.
Do not pay an advance fee to an agent or transfer money to an individual's account.
Loan terms vary. There is no single guaranteed NIRA rate, amount, tenure or fee. The offer depends on the lending partner, applicant profile and applicable policy. The KFS and loan agreement shown to you are the definitive documents.

Trust and safety FAQs
Is NIRA an RBI-registered lender?
No. NIRA is a Loan Service Provider operated by Shuhari Tech Ventures Private Limited. The regulated bank or NBFC identified in the Key Fact Statement sanctions and disburses the loan.
Which lender provides a NIRA loan?
The available lender depends on the applicant and current lender policy. The definitive lender is the regulated entity named in your offer, Key Fact Statement and loan agreement.
Is NIRA a FACE member?
Yes. FACE's public member list dated 3 December 2025 includes Shuhari Tech Ventures Private Limited under the brand name Nira.
Are NIRA loan approval and pricing guaranteed?
No. Approval and all terms depend on the selected lender's policy and the applicant's profile. Compare the exact APR, fees, net disbursal and repayment terms in the applicant-specific KFS.
Does NIRA access contacts or read SMS?
The Privacy Policy updated on 29 June 2026 states that NIRA does not access the device contact list. It also states that transactional SMS data may be processed for financial assessment, while personal messages, OTPs and sensitive account details are filtered out and not stored.
How do I complain about a NIRA loan?
Start with the current NIRA Support page and retain the ticket details. If unresolved, follow the NIRA grievance route, then the regulated lender's grievance process, and the applicable RBI complaint route where eligible.
How can I verify the regulated lender?
Check the lender name in your offer and Key Fact Statement, then verify that legal entity on the RBI website or through the lender’s official website. Do not rely on a logo or an agent’s message alone.
What should I check in a Key Fact Statement?
Check the lender, sanctioned amount, APR, every fee, net disbursal, EMI schedule, total repayment, late-payment terms, prepayment terms and grievance contact before accepting.
Why is APR different from the nominal interest rate?
APR is designed to reflect the annualised cost of credit, including applicable charges. Use the applicant-specific APR in the KFS to compare offers instead of comparing only a monthly or nominal rate.
Can anyone guarantee a NIRA loan?
No. NIRA cannot guarantee approval, a specific amount, a rate or a disbursal time. The regulated lender makes the credit decision under its policy.
Should I pay an agent before disbursal?
Do not transfer an advance fee to an individual or an unverified account. Charges applicable to an approved offer should be disclosed in the KFS and loan documents.
Does deleting the NIRA app close an active loan?
No. Removing an app does not cancel a loan or repayment obligation. Use the official support and lender channels shown in your loan documents for closure or account requests.
Can I cancel after accepting a loan?
Review the cooling-off and cancellation terms in your KFS and loan agreement. The available process and any permissible charges depend on the regulated lender and the specific loan.
What should I keep when raising a complaint?
Keep your ticket number, loan account details, KFS, repayment receipts and relevant messages. Do not post account numbers, OTPs or identity documents publicly.
What if an app permission does not match NIRA’s Privacy Policy?
Pause the application and use NIRA’s official Support page to ask for clarification. Review the live Privacy Policy and device permission prompt before providing consent.
Check the evidence before you borrow
Read the current KFS, Privacy Policy, Partners page and Support page. Do not proceed if the lender, total cost or grievance route is unclear.
